Photographing weddings and civil ceremonies in the Hackney Town Hall is always enjoyable and fun, with numerous spaces that can be used as backdrops for beautiful and natural wedding photos.
Very often the whole wedding, from beginning to end, takes place at this London town hall. Or, just as often, the wedding ceremony is organised at the Hackney Town Hall, and the following reception is elsewhere within Hackney and North and East London.

Hackney Town Hall-the Iconic London Registry Office
Hackney Town Hall is a grand art deco building with a registry office for marriages in the heart of London Hackney.
Not far from London Fields and Hackney Central Stations this award winning wedding venue has five separate wedding, event and meeting spaces all offering a mixture of beautiful period features, natural daylight (perfect for gorgeous wedding photos) and striking art deco architecture.
Hackney Town Hall is a great example of London’s of civic art deco architecture. It was designed by Lanchester & Lodge and opened in 1937. It is a Grade II Listed building is still a focus of community life in Hackney.
Hackney Town Hall is a working town hall, running for over 80 years now. It houses the original Assembly Hall with its own private entrance with two grand curved staircases leading guests to the gorgeous event space. After a recent improvement works the original 1930s building has been brought into the 21st century. It features two state of the art glass roofed atriums, flooded with light and giving the feeling of being outside no matter the weather. The Council Chamber and Committee Rooms with stunning chandeliers are perfect spaces for wedding ceremonies with high ceilings and wooden cladding throughout.
All of the spaces are perfect for wedding photography with ample natural light and beautiful decor with fine finishes.

North and South Atriums
Both are amazing spaces with glass roofs, which can host up to 200 standing or seated wedding guests for the ceremony or up to 100 guests for the wedding reception.
Assembly Rooms All
It can host an impressive 500 standing guests and 420 seated for a wedding ceremony, as well as 250 wedding guests for banquet and dancing.
Assembly Rooms Partitioned
Can host 120 standing or seated wedding guests and up to 60 people for dancing.
Committee rooms
Up to 100 seated guests for a wedding ceremony.
Council Chamber
Up to 100 seated guests for a wedding ceremony plus 50 in the viewing gallery.
Lanchester Suite
Great for more intimate ceremonies with up to 30 guests.
