A Fairytale Day at The Winters Barns: Wedding Photography for Zoe and Matt
On a picture-perfect autumn day, Zoe and Matt tied the knot at The Winters Barns, a breathtaking wedding venue nestled in the heart of Kent. With its rustic charm and elegant setting, this venue provided the ideal backdrop for a celebration of love and friendship. As their Kent wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the many beautiful moments that unfolded throughout the day—each one as unique and special as Zoe and Matt themselves.

Here is a small selection of photos from this beautiful Kent Winters Barns wedding of Zoe and Matt, enjoy!
Winters Barns Wedding Venue
Winters Barns wedding venues are located in the southern outskirts of cobbled streets and idyllic views. Built in 1660, the barns provide the ideal backdrop for stunning photos and intimate moments.
Today, 85% of the buildings retain much of their original splendour including the well-preserved oak beams and 100-year-old Bramley apple trees. The barns are linked together to create a magnificent open plan space complete with heating, air conditioning and modern amenities.
Outside you’ll find a splendid courtyard that features a lovely wedding arch. We can accommodate up to 150 guests for wedding ceremonies and 200 guests for wedding breakfasts. If you prefer a church ceremony, we have two local churches in Nackington and Lower Hardres.
With breath-taking scenery and charming interiors, Winters Barns blends beauty, privacy and comfort so you can cherish your day fully.

Getting ready at the Salon
Matt and Zoe’s wedding day began with the bride’s preparations in the venue’s charming bridal suite. The Winters Barns offers a stunning, light-filled room with soft, neutral tones, perfect for creating relaxed and intimate bridal portraits. Zoe was surrounded by her family and friends as they enjoyed champagne, laughter, and a few last-minute details. The morning air was filled with excitement.
Zoe’s wedding gown, a breathtaking lace dress with intricate beading, was carefully hung by the window, allowing the soft light to illuminate its delicate details. With her hair styled into an elegant updo and a subtle, natural makeup look, Zoe was the epitome of bridal beauty. As her bridesmaids helped her into her dress, it was clear this moment was a dream come true for her.
The Ceremony: A Rustic Romance
The ceremony took place in The Winters Barns ceremony room, where rustic elegance and timeless romance came together in perfect harmony. The venue’s vaulted wooden ceilings and exposed beams added a sense of grandeur, while the soft lighting created an intimate and warm atmosphere. As Zoe walked down the aisle with her dad, a wave of emotion swept over everyone in the room—her father by her side and Matt waiting at the altar with a look of pure love and admiration.
Zoe and Matt exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. They exchanged the ring and read each other a personal vows, which was just perfect. As they sealed their vows with a kiss, the room erupted in applause, and it was clear that this was a moment that would be forever etched in their hearts.
The Reception: Celebrating in Style
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the outside space for the confetti shot and drinks reception. Zoe and Matt had chosen a warm autumnal theme, with deep burgundy, gold, and ivory accents that created a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The round tables were adorned with soft candlelight, lush floral centerpieces, and personalized name cards, all of which were captured in close-up shots, showcasing the couple’s attention to detail.
The newlyweds shared their first dance to a beautiful, slow ballad, and I was lucky enough to capture the tender moments as they swayed together, lost in each other’s eyes. The cherry on the cake was the smoke from the DJ’s smoke machine that added to the magical fairytale vibe of the day.
For their couple portraits, Zoe and Matt took advantage of the stunning outdoor space at The Winter’s Barns. The stunning oak doors framed by flowers and smoke bombs added that extra spacial element to the couples portraits.
A Night to Remember
As the evening drew on, the newlyweds as well as their wedding guests enjoyed the dancefloor action and some super fun wedding games.
As their photographer, it was a joy to capture every moment of this fairytale day. From the quiet, intimate moments of the ceremony to the joyous energy of the reception, The Winters Barns provided the perfect backdrop for Zoe and Matt’s love story. With its stunning blend of rustic elegance and natural beauty, this venue truly is one of the best places to say “I do” in Kent—and it was an honor to capture the magic of their wedding day.
