Oh, how I enjoyed being a Port Lympne wedding photographer. Port Lympne is such a beautiful wedding venue in Kent. As it is local to me I have always wanted to photograph a wedding there. With the most breathtaking views over the Kentish countryside and with all the beautiful wild animals who are being looked after at Port Lympne, it is truly a wedding photographer’s dream to work at this wedding venue.
Port Lympne Wedding Photographer
I approached the recent Port Lympne wedding of Selina and Ashley in a typical Blue Lily Weddings style. The goal was to capture the full and complete story of the wedding day as it happens. It was very important to photograph all the big wedding moments, like the getting ready, the fires kiss, the exchange of the rings, as well as all the group formal photos and speeches, cake cutting and the first dance.
But what is even more important was to capture with the camera all those in-between moments that made the wedding truly unique to the bride and groom as well as their family and friends.

Here is a short selection of Port Lympne wedding photos from the recent wedding from this stunning Kent wedding venue, enjoy!
Port Lympne Wedding Venue
Port Lympne is such a unique Kent wedding venue. It is run by the Aspinall Foundation, an internationally renowned animal conservation charity that works in conjunction with Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks in Kent.
It is just a perfect place to get married for anyone who would love to tie the knot in a zoo or a wildlife animal park. It not only offers safaris to the wedding guests who can then see all the wild animals up close, but also has many different beautiful facilities as well as gorgeous views.
Port Lympne animal park overlooks Romney Marsh and the English Channel. ‘The historic Grade II listed Port Lympne Mansion is surrounded by 600 acres of magnificent private parkland. For over a century, Port Lympne has entertained royalty, aristocracy, prominent politicians and playwrights.
Throughout the roaring 20s, it was visited by such famous figures as Charlie Chaplin, the Prince of Wales, Lord Mountbatten, Sir Winston Churchill and T.E. Lawrence.
Regarded as one of England’s finest country houses, Port Lympne offers a truly exceptional venue for your special day, with unforgettable backdrops steeped in a golden era.’
Port Lympne is an award winning venue that combines grandeur, history, elegance and beauty with natural surroundings and decor. It boasts the colourful gardens and Moroccan courtyard, panoramic views of the Kent countryside from the romantic Pergola or magical Orangery on its stunning terraces. Equally gorgeous are the exterior and interiors of the charming Grade II listed mansion.
Port Lympne offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for your Kent wedding for every season and every weather.
The Pergola
The Pergola is right within Port Lympne mansion’s ancient walled garden. It is such a beautiful and romantic place to exchange wedding vows.
The Pergola is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and can host up to 120 guests for a seated wedding ceremony.
After the wedding ceremony the guest can enjoy the drinks reception at the tiered terraced gardens.
The Orangery
Port Lympne’s newly appointed glass orangery and terrace are inspired by the theatrical entertainment style of the Gatsby era. The Orangery is fully private and can host up to 160 seated guests. It has a dance floor, cloakroom, and luxury washrooms. It includes its own fully incorporated kitchen for all fine dining requirements, as well as the option to add additional marquees or a food station on the adjoining lawn.
