 Norton Park Wedding Photography

The recent winter barn wedding of Katie and Matt at Norton Park in Winchester was a great celebration of what is important in life.  And that is simply a love of two amazing people and connection they have between themselves, as well as their family and close friends. The bride and groom, as well as all their guests, were such a great company on the day. They made me feel most welcome from the start and filled the day with joy and laughter.

The wedding venue was Norton Park, an imposing hotel with beautiful grounds and gorgeous Hampshire countryside surrounding it. The Manor House next door was a perfect place for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready. As well as for the drinks reception later on. The ceremony and the wedding breakfast took place in a 17th century Tythe Barn. The barn was recently refurbished. With its underfloor heating, it was perfect for the winter wedding celebration, keeping everyone warm on a chilly March day.
The evening part of the wedding included cake cutting, first dance and some crazy dancefloor moves to the tunes of an awesome band The Tricks. It all took place in the conference room of the hotel, which was just perfect for it. And Katies pink dance wedding trainers just toped it all!

Hampshire Winter Wedding

I loved pretty much everything about this Hampshire winter wedding. The people, the venue, the beautiful handmade decorations in the barn. And also the beautiful flowers by The Blooming Workshop. Maybe with exception of the temperatures this time of year which were slightly on a chilly side. Because of the rain, we couldn’t do any shots on the waterlogged grass, even with Katie’s special mud sink stoppers!
Fortunately, we didn’t have to venture far to find a great location with some nice backdrops for our couple shoot. Although it only took a few minutes Katie and Matt were great models and we got some beautiful shots.
Another great part of the day were the speeches. Especially the one made by Matt’s best men who didn’t spare the groom embarrassing stories with added photographic evidence. What a great evening it was!

Thank you so much, Katie and Matt, for trusting in me to document your beautiful day. I enjoyed it so much!
