Lillibrooke Manor Wedding Photographer
It always is such an enjoyable experience to be a Lillibrooke Manor wedding photographer. One of the most favourite places for Blue Lily Weddings to work at. And the recent wedding photography at Lillibrooke Manor in Cox Green near Maidenhead was just perfect. As a Berkshire wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for much more. Grace and Sam are just such an amazing couple. And they were the perfect bride and groom.
We met a few months before in Richmond Park in London where we did their engagement shoot photography. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and we got some beautiful photos as a result. Because of that, I knew that their Lillibrooke Manor wedding day will be just as good, if not better!
Lillibrooke Manor Wedding Venue
Lillibrooke Manor is one of those wedding venues that photographs just perfectly. The weather on the wedding day was quite typical for an Autumn wedding. Overcast and a bit chilly, but we were lucky enough to get a tiny bit of sunshine just before the sunset.
The Lillibrooke Manor itself is just a great wedding venue. It is grade II listed with medieval manor house and 15 acres of historic barns and gardens. One of the main features is the Great Barn, where the reception took place. It is one of the largest of its type in the south of England. With a grand beamed ceiling and wrought iron chandeliers, it is truly impressive space.
Wedding Photos at Lillibrooke Manor
This Lillibrooke Manor wedding was so much fun to photograph and be a part of. All the gathered family and friends were just a happy bunch of people, which made the atmosphere joyful and relaxed.
We started the wedding day photography in the Cottage Room, with some getting ready shots of the bride to be. She was surrounded by her bridesmaids, the maid of honour, as well as the father and the mother of the bride. There were lots of laughs and a bit of healthy nervousness. The soon to be bride looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress! I just love the Cottage Room getting ready photography, the light there is just perfect for gorgeous portraits.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Lillibrooke Manor Small Barn. It was beautiful with the wedding vows, exchange of the rings and of course the first kiss. I thought the groom is going to faint when he saw his bride for the first time!
The food at the wedding breakfast, which was held at the Great Barn in the Engine House, was delicious.
But before that there was one of my favourite wedding day moments to photograph – the confetti shot! Wedding speeches were moving and funny. Some favourite moments were when the best man and Sam’s brother did his speech, dressing together with the groom as Batman and Robin. In the end, he even gave the groom a present, which was his entire collection of Pokemon card beautifully framed for future generations to admire!
Luckily just before the sunset the sun poked out just for a few minutes and we managed to snap a few golden hour wedding photos with the newlyweds. As a Lillibrooke Manor wedding photographer, I couldn’t ask for much more!
Bride and groom cut the cake on the stage in the Lillibrooke Manor Great Barn. After that we went straight to the first dance and the wedding disco.
The after-dark wedding sparklers were great, with a nice warm glow in the photographs against the dark backdrop of the evening. In the end, I finished shooting a bit later than planned. The atmosphere on the dancefloor was so electric (please check above!) that I just had to stay longer!
