Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photography
If you are looking for a Pembroke Lodge wedding photographer, you came to the right place! Pembroke Lodge must be my favourite venue in greater London to document weddings. I photographed many weddings there over the past few years at different times of the year and with different wedding sizes. Because every couple and every wedding is different, it is always such a pleasure to come back!
Pembroke Lodge, as well as the surrounding Richmond Park, change beautifully with the seasons. They are always perfect backdrops to beautiful wedding photography.
Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photos
Whether it is a small to medium size wedding held at the Russell Suite or a larger wedding at The Belvedere, it is always lovely! Pembroke Lodge even held their first outdoor ceremony last summer, which I had the great pleasure to photograph.
Like any other wedding, my approach to photographing weddings at Pembroke Lodge is simple. I let the bride and groom enjoy their day with their loved ones. This gives me the best opportunity to document it in a beautiful and unobtrusive way, as it unfolds.
Here is a small selection of Pembroke Lodge photos from recent weddings I photographed at this stunning London wedding venue, enjoy!
Pembroke Lodge Outdoor Ceremony Wedding Photography
It has been such an honour and pleasure to be able to photograph the first outdoor wedding ceremony held at the Pembroke Lodge. Right in the Woodland Garden that belongs to the Russell Suite part of the wedding day. Here are a few photos from this memorable day!
Pembroke Lodge Russell Suite Wedding Photos
Russell Suite holds small to medium weddings and is equally as gorgeous for wedding photos as its bigger brother `the Belvedere. It has space for up to 70 wedding guests for wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100 guests for the evening party. Russell Suite is located on the first floor of the Georgian Wing of the venue. It has gorgeous interiors with period features and sweeping views to the west, great for sunsets! The South Lawn garden directly below Rissel Suite can be used for a drinks reception and throughout the evening.
The Belvedere at Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photos
The Belvedere at Pembroke Lodge is the larger of the two rooms and just perfect for wedding photography!
It provides space for up to 140 guests for the wedding ceremony and up to 200 for the evening party. It is located on the ground floor of the wedding venue and has a lovely outdoor terrace with views over the Thames valley all the way to the horizon!
Pembroke Lodge Wedding Venue
As you can see from the photos above, Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park is just a great venue for wedding photography. The location of Pembroke Lodge couldn’t be better. Especially if you are looking for a wedding venue that is close to central London and is surrounded by beautiful nature. I have to say that the venue is located in the heart of Richmond Park, which is great. Richmond Park is one of the oldest and most beautiful royal parks in London. It really is more like woodlands and meadows rather than your standard park. And with a large number of deer roaming around it truly is a dream location for wedding photography.
The Pembroke Lodge itself is a one of a kind Grade II listed Georgian Mansion situated at the highest point of the largest Royal Park within London.
Pembroke Lodge has been lovingly restored by The Hearsum Family Limited to provide two fully fitted banqueting suites and award-winning tea rooms. It is the only wedding venue licensed for weddings within a London Royal Park.
It is surrounded by 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with spectacular views over the Thames Valley. On a nice day, you can even see all the way to St Paul’s Cathedral in the city of London. Where I also photographed a beautiful and fun wedding recently.
Pembroke Lodge has been running weddings for over 50 years and is one of the very few venues offering a truly complete service from a very experienced team.
Pembroke Lodge Wedding Day Photography
Wedding photography is always such a pleasure at Pembroke Lodge. As the venue itself doesn’t provide accommodation, the bride and groom usually get ready at one of the nearby hotels in Richmond. Then they arrive at the venue in a wedding car and the rest of the wedding day photography takes place at the Pembroke Lodge itself.
Whether it’s at the Belvedere or the Russell Suite, the wedding day photography at Pembroke Lodge usually follows the same rhythm. The wedding ceremony takes place in one of the larger, beautifully lit rooms. This always results in very pleasing looking photos of the bride and groom saying the vows, exchanging the rings and of course having the first kiss! That usually follows by the confetti shot and the drinks reception at the Belvedere’s terrace or Russel Suite’s Woodland Garden.
During that time we usually go through the group photos which are usually followed by the bride and groom couple shoot. Then it’s the wedding breakfast held in the same room as the indoor ceremony. After that there are wedding speeches, cutting of the cake and the first dance. That is often followed by one of my favourite parts of the wedding to photograph – the wedding disco. If we manage to sneak out with the bride and groom for a few sunset portraits, it is always a lovely bonus!
