Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photographer
I have always enjoyed being an Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photographer. The Old Marylebone Town Hall is a London wedding venue. Or, to be more precise, one of the oldest and most established London registry offices. It is such a beautiful historical building and just perfect for anyone looking to get married in the capital. This iconic London registry office is also a perfect backdrop for wedding photography.

Planning Your Wedding Ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall
I have photographed weddings and civil ceremonies at Old Marylebone Town Hall many times. I know the place, as well as the surrounding area, very well. Which is very useful in being time-efficient and finding the best angles for your wedding photos. I’m also very efficient in finding great photo locations nearby for a couple photo shoot or formal photos with bride and groom and their wedding guests.
Frequently Asked Questions When Planning Your Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding:
How much time in advance should I book my Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding ceremony?
You can book it as early as 1 year in advance with the full balance being payable 4 month before the wedding day. Popular dates like Saturdays in the summer are very busy so the earlier the better.
How early should we and our guests arrive before the ceremony?
30 minutes is a good amount of time to go through the interviews with the registrar for the bride and groom to be. Wedding guests are welcome into the ceremony room 20-25 minutes before the ceremony.
How long will the Old Town Hall wedding ceremony last?
It depends a bit in the size of the wedding as well as whether there are any readings. An average ceremony takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Can we bring our own flowers and decorations?
Yes. As long as things already in the room are not affected. Please let the ushers know beforehand so they can assist.
Can we have our pet dog with us during the wedding ceremony?
Yes. Old Marylebone Town Hall allows dogs in. Just please let them know beforehand.
What about disabled access?
For people on wheelchairs, there is a separate entrance on the side and a 48hr notice is required. No worries at all, the ushers will make sure everyone is being looked after.
Can we have drinks reception/stay in the room for photos after the ceremony?
Yes, drinks receptions can be arranged at an extra charge. They are allowed in Pimlico, Soho, Marylebone and Paddington Rooms between Sunday and Thursday. There is always enough time after the wedding ceremony to take a few photos in the room. It would be a shame not to, as the rooms, as well as the light, are beautiful.
Is confetti allowed?
Yes, confetti is allowed on the steps just outside the main door. A perfect place for it! It is not allowed inside of the building.
How much time after the ceremony do we have for the photos outside?
It varies depending on how busy it is but there is always enough time for the confetti shot, as well as a few group and couple photos.
What if it rains?
Then most photos can be done inside using the Old Marylebone Town Hall beautiful interiors as a backdrop. Outside between the columns and the wall is a very nice dry space as well as we can use umbrellas if the rain is not super heavy!
Where can we go for photos after leaving The Old Marylebone Town Hall?
There are so many places to choose from for photos after, all time-dependent. Any of the London parks, like a nearby Regent’s Park, are perfect if you would like a bit of nature and greenery in the backdrop. And simply walking through the streets of London is great for photos, it is such an iconic and beautiful city!
