The happy couple on this glorious day at Missenden Abbey in Buckinghamshire were Miao and Richard. We met a few months before when we did our engagement photo shoot in central London. Because of that, I knew from their cheerful and easy-going personalities that we will all be up for a day filled with laughter and celebration!
Missenden Abbey wedding photography was simply a pleasure for me. The 12th-century historic building made for a perfect venue, with vaulted ceilings and dramatic landscape surrounding it.
As usual, I arrived early, checking the area and getting some nice landscape shots on the way. As the first guests were arriving we got few getting ready shots of both bride and groom getting ready in separate rooms of the abbey.

What was very special about this wedding is that Miao designed and commissioned her own wedding dress. That in result led to her and Richard starting their own business of affordable made to measure wedding dresses.
‘It all started when Miao was looking for her wedding dress. She wanted a dress that was beautiful, fitted her well and did not cost a fortune. It turned out the ideal dress she was searching for simply did not exist. So, she started Aneberry to help brides like her find that ideal dress.’

Miao looked absolutely stunning in her dress and I couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough!
The whole wedding day in and around Missenden Abbey passed in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. The grounds were just beautiful and made for a great backdrop for the couple shoot. We even got some fun ones with merry guests photobombing us! Also recreating some old photos when some of the guests were just small kids.
The day finished with a crazy party with a live band playing some classic tunes and a beautiful sparkler send off.
Thank you so much guys! x
